Continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

ShieldScan provides an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance platform specialising in the Ethereum blockchain. Our services include:

• AML Scanning: Risk assessment of Ethereum wallet addresses based on on-chain transaction data and known threat intelligence.
• Wallet Screening: Identification of wallets associated with sanctioned entities, mixers, darknet markets, and other high-risk categories.
• API Access: Programmatic access to our scanning and screening capabilities for integration into your own applications and workflows.
• Compliance Reporting: Exportable reports suitable for internal compliance documentation.

ShieldScan is a decision-support tool. Our risk scores and classifications are intended to assist human compliance professionals and do not constitute legal or financial advice. Final compliance decisions remain the responsibility of the user.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. You must be at least 18 years of age to register for an account.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Facilitate, plan, or conceal money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other illegal financial activity.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent sanctions or regulatory screening systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying data models of the Service.
• Conduct automated scraping, bulk data harvesting, or any activity that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our express written consent.
• Introduce malicious code, malware, or disruptive content into the Service.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, software, algorithms, risk models, and data compilations made available through the Service are the exclusive property of ShieldScan or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your internal compliance purposes only. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you. User-generated content, such as uploaded reports or notes, remains your property, and you grant us a licence to process it solely to provide the Service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShieldScan and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to ShieldScan in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

8. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of significant changes via email or platform announcement. Continued use of the Service following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
